Thanks, John. The notion that underlies this verse is that there has never been 'nothing' in the universe - it is merely a conceptual construct. It also suggests that what we see in the material world may not reflect what is going on at a deeper level - beyond time, space and place. Would you agree with either of these hypotheses?
